PDF to JPG / PNG Converter
Render each page of a PDF to a JPG or PNG image at the resolution you choose — in your browser, nothing uploaded.
In short
Rendering a PDF page to JPG at 150 dpi gives about 1240 × 1754 px for A4 — readable text for portal uploads; 96 dpi is a preview, 300 dpi (2480 px wide) is print quality. Use PNG for diagrams and screenshots, JPG for scans and photos.
Who this is for: Anyone who needs PDF pages as images for a portal that accepts JPG only, a presentation or a social post.
Choosing a resolution
- 96 dpi — an A4 page becomes about 794 × 1123 px: fine for a quick preview or a WhatsApp send.
- 150 dpi (default) — 1240 × 1754 px: readable text, good for uploads to portals that want JPG instead of PDF.
- 200–300 dpi — 1654–2480 px wide: for printing or when small print must stay legible. Files grow with the square of the dpi.
Pages are rendered with the same engine Firefox uses to display PDFs (pdf.js), so fonts, vector graphics and scans all come out as they appear on screen. Use PNG for diagrams and screenshots (sharp edges, larger files); JPG for scanned documents and photos.

Assumptions
- pdf.js renders each selected page at the chosen dpi (scale = dpi ÷ 72) on a white canvas, then exports JPG at the chosen quality or PNG.
- Page ranges as 1-3,6; blank = all.
- Encrypted PDFs are not supported.
Worked example
Pages 1–3 at 150 dpi JPG quality 88 → three images of about 1240 × 1754 px and 250–400 KB each; Download all saves them as scan-page-1.jpg etc.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert only one page?
Yes — enter the page number (e.g. 2) in the pages box.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Yes; a scanned PDF is already an image per page, and this extracts each page at the resolution you choose.
Why is the JPG blurry?
Increase the resolution to 200 or 300 dpi; 96 dpi is only for previews.
Is there a page limit?
No fixed limit; rendering 100 pages at 300 dpi takes a minute or two and a lot of memory, so convert long documents in batches using the page range.
How do I convert a PDF page to JPG?
Upload the PDF, enter the page number, choose 150 or 200 dpi and click Convert — then download the image.
What dpi should I use?
150 for uploads and screens, 300 for print.
