EU calculators and tools — VAT rates and e-invoice viewer

2 free tools. Every one runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

The EU VAT calculator holds the standard rate of every member state — from Luxembourg's 17% to Hungary's 27% — for adding or removing VAT and for checking which rate applies under the One Stop Shop. The e-invoice viewer opens the structured invoices that Germany, France, Italy and the Peppol network now require, extracting the XML from a Factur-X or ZUGFeRD PDF and showing seller, buyer, lines and totals in plain language.

Both tools run in your browser. The viewer performs arithmetic checks only, not schematron validation, and the VAT table is flagged until re-checked against the European Commission's current rates publication.

EU VAT Calculator — All 27 Member States

EU standard VAT rates range from 17% in Luxembourg to 27% in Hungary — Germany 19%, France 20%, Netherlands 21%, Italy 22%, Ireland 23%, Sweden and Denmark 25%. Cross-border B2B sales usually use the reverse charge; B2C distance sales charge the customer's country rate via the One Stop Shop.

E-Invoice Viewer — ZUGFeRD, Factur-X, XRechnung & Peppol UBL

View any ZUGFeRD / Factur-X PDF or XRechnung / Peppol UBL XML e-invoice in plain English — seller, buyer, lines, totals — privately in your browser.

ZUGFeRD and Factur-X are PDF/A-3 invoices with an embedded CII XML file; XRechnung is Germany's pure-XML format (UBL or CII) required for public-sector invoices; Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 is the UBL profile used across the Peppol network. All implement the European norm EN 16931, so one viewer can read them all.
