A WiFi QR code uses the format WIFI:T:WPA;S:network;P:password;; and joins the network when scanned. A WhatsApp QR code is a link to wa.me/ followed by the number with country code; a vCard QR code saves a contact to the phone.

What each QR type encodes
- URL / text: the raw string. Phones open URLs directly in the browser.
- WiFi: the standard WIFI:T:WPA;S:name;P:password;; format — scanning joins the network on iOS and Android without typing the password.
- WhatsApp: a wa.me link that opens a chat with your number, optionally with a pre-filled message. Handy for shop counters and business cards.
- vCard: a contact card (name, phone, email, company) that the phone offers to save directly to contacts.
Print at a minimum of about 2 cm across for reliable scanning; the PNG download is 256×256 px, which prints cleanly at business-card size.

Assumptions
- WiFi codes use the WIFI:T:;S:;P:;; format; special characters in the SSID and password are escaped.
- WhatsApp codes link to wa.me with digits only; the message is URL-encoded.
- vCard 3.0 with name, phone, email, company and URL only.
Worked example
Number entered as 923001234567 (country code 92, no leading zero or +) with message "Hi, I saw your ad" → encodes https://wa.me/923001234567?text=Hi%2C%20I%20saw%20your%20ad.
Frequently asked questions
Does the QR code expire?
No — it's a static code containing the data itself, not a link to a server. It works as long as the underlying URL/number/network is valid.
Can I add a logo or colours?
Not in this tool — it produces a plain black-and-white code, which is also the most reliably scannable option.
Is my WiFi password stored anywhere?
No. The code is generated on your device and nothing is uploaded.
