Free online tools — PDF, image, creator and developer utilities

35 free tools. Every one runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

These are utilities, not calculators: file tools built for the upload limits of government portals and visa forms (resize, compress, convert, merge, split, OCR); creator tools for watermarks, blurring, social-media sizes, thumbnails, captions and TikTok or YouTube RPM; developer tools for favicons, Base64, colour palettes, WCAG contrast, aspect ratios and strong passwords; plus an email signature builder, a PDF invoice generator and a DOI-to-BibTeX converter. Every calculator — mortgage, loan, tax, salary, savings — lives under the free online calculators hub, by region or in the any-currency Global section.

Every tool works on your device — files and text are processed in the browser and never uploaded, which is why they are safe for identity documents, client data and passwords. The one exception is the DOI converter, which asks doi.org for the citation record.

File tool

Resize & Compress Image to an Exact KB Size

Shrink a photo or scanned signature to an exact file size in KB for exam forms, job portals and visa applications — processed on your device, never uploaded.

To resize a photo to an exact size such as 20KB or 50KB, reduce the pixel dimensions and JPEG quality until the file fits the limit. Pakistan job portals and exam forms (PPSC, FPSC, NTS) commonly require photos under 20–50KB and signatures under 10–20KB.

Open the calculator

Compress PDF to an Exact KB Size

Shrink a PDF to a target file size in KB for online forms and portals with strict upload limits — processed on your device, never uploaded.

To compress a PDF to a fixed size like 100KB or 200KB, the pages are re-rendered as JPEG images at reduced quality and rebuilt into a new PDF. This reliably meets portal upload limits but removes selectable text.

Open the calculator

HEIC to JPG Converter

Convert iPhone HEIC/HEIF photos to JPG in your browser — free, no sign-up, files never leave your device.

HEIC is Apple's default iPhone photo format. Converting HEIC to JPG in the browser decodes the image locally and re-encodes it as JPEG, so it opens on Windows, Android and websites without uploading the photo anywhere.

Open the calculator

Passport & Visa Photo Size Tool

Crop and resize a photo to the exact pixel and file-size requirements for Pakistan passport/CNIC, PPSC/FPSC forms and Saudi/UAE e-visas.

Pakistan passport and CNIC photos are typically 35×45 mm; Saudi and UAE e-visa portals commonly require a 200×200 px square photo under a strict file size. The photo should have a plain background with the face centred.

QR Code Generator — WiFi, WhatsApp, vCard, URL

Generate a QR code for a WiFi network, WhatsApp chat link, contact card (vCard) or any URL — free, in your browser, nothing uploaded.

A WiFi QR code uses the format WIFI:T:WPA;S:network;P:password;; and joins the network when scanned. A WhatsApp QR code is a link to wa.me/ followed by the number with country code; a vCard QR code saves a contact to the phone.

Hijri ↔ Gregorian Date Converter

Convert any date between the Islamic Hijri calendar (Umm al-Qura) and the Gregorian calendar, in both directions.

The Islamic Hijri calendar has 354 or 355 days, so dates move about 11 days earlier each Gregorian year. Saudi Arabia and most Gulf documents use the calculated Umm al-Qura calendar, which can differ by a day from moon-sighting dates used for Ramadan and Eid.

JPG / PNG to WebP Converter (and WebP to JPG)

Convert JPG and PNG images to WebP (or WebP back to JPG/PNG) in your browser with a quality slider and before/after file sizes — batch up to 20 files, nothing uploaded.

WebP compresses photos about 25–35% smaller than JPG at the same visual quality and supports transparency, and every current browser displays it; quality 80–85 is the usual sweet spot. Convert WebP back to JPG or PNG when a portal, form or older application rejects it — JPG for photos, PNG where transparency must be kept.

Open the calculator

PNG to JPG Converter (and JPG to PNG)

Convert PNG to JPG with a chosen background colour for transparent areas, or JPG to PNG, in batches of up to 20 — all on your device, nothing uploaded.

PNG to JPG conversion flattens transparency onto a background colour (white by default) and applies lossy compression — quality 85–95 is visually identical and several times smaller; JPG to PNG is lossless but larger and cannot restore detail already lost. Forms that accept only JPG are the usual reason to convert.

Open the calculator

Bulk Image Compressor — JPG, PNG, WebP

Shrink up to 30 photos at once by quality and maximum dimensions, see the saving per file, and download them individually or all together — processed in your browser.

Most of an image's file-size saving comes from resizing: capping the longest side at 1920 px cuts a phone photo by 70–80% before any quality change, and JPG/WebP quality 75 halves it again with no visible loss on screen. PNG only shrinks meaningfully when converted to JPG or WebP.

Merge PDF Files

Combine several PDF files into one in the order you choose, optionally picking page ranges from each — merged on your device, never uploaded.

Merging PDFs copies the selected pages of each file into a new document in the chosen order without re-rendering, so quality is unchanged and the output size is roughly the sum of the inputs; page ranges like 1-3,7 pick specific pages, and password-protected files must be unlocked first.

Open the calculator

Split PDF — Extract or Delete Pages

Extract a page range, delete pages, or split a PDF into single-page files — processed in your browser, nothing uploaded.

A PDF can be split by extracting a page range (e.g. 2-5,8), deleting pages, saving every page as its own file, or cutting it every N pages; pages are copied exactly, so text stays searchable and quality is unchanged.

JPG to PDF Converter — Images to One PDF

Turn JPG, PNG or WebP images into a single PDF — A4, Letter or fit-to-image pages, portrait or landscape, with margins — created on your device.

Images become one PDF page each, scaled to fit A4 (210 × 297 mm) or Letter inside the chosen margins, or a page sized to the image at 150 dpi; JPGs up to 2500 px are embedded unchanged and larger photos are downscaled so a 20-photo PDF stays a few MB.

Open the calculator

PDF to JPG / PNG Converter

Render each page of a PDF to a JPG or PNG image at the resolution you choose — in your browser, nothing uploaded.

Rendering a PDF page to JPG at 150 dpi gives about 1240 × 1754 px for A4 — readable text for portal uploads; 96 dpi is a preview, 300 dpi (2480 px wide) is print quality. Use PNG for diagrams and screenshots, JPG for scans and photos.

Image to Text (OCR) — English, Urdu, Arabic

Extract text from a photo, screenshot or scanned page with on-device OCR in English, Urdu, Arabic, Hindi and more — copy or download the text, nothing uploaded.

On-device OCR with Tesseract (WebAssembly) extracts printed text from photos, screenshots and scans in English, Urdu, Arabic, Hindi and other languages without uploading the image; text should be at least about 25 px tall, and numbers, names and IDs always need proof-reading.

Crop Image Online — Square, 16:9, 4:3, Custom

Crop a photo to a preset ratio (Instagram square, YouTube 16:9, 4:3, 3:2) or a custom size, with an optional circular profile-picture cut-out — on your device.

Common crop ratios: 1:1 at 1080 px for Instagram and profile photos, 4:5 for Instagram portrait, 9:16 (1080 × 1920) for Stories and Reels, 16:9 (1280 × 720) for YouTube thumbnails, 3:2 for 6 × 4 prints and 7:9 (35 × 45 mm, 413 × 531 px at 300 dpi) for passport photos. Cropping keeps original pixels; a circular cut-out needs PNG for transparency.

EXIF Viewer & Remover — See and Strip Photo Metadata

See what a photo's metadata reveals — camera, date, software, GPS location — and download a clean copy with all metadata removed, without uploading the photo.

JPG photos carry EXIF metadata — camera make and model, date and time, settings and often GPS coordinates. WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and X strip it on upload, but email, cloud links, websites, marketplace listings and PDF attachments do not; re-encoding the image removes all metadata while keeping the pixels.

TikTok & YouTube RPM Calculator

TikTok Creator Rewards Program RPM calculator: earnings per 1,000 qualified views and how much a given number of views pays, plus YouTube RPM — 2026 figures.

RPM is earnings per 1,000 views: earnings ÷ views × 1,000. TikTok Creator Rewards pays only on qualified views of videos over one minute and is commonly reported at $0.40–$1.00 RPM; YouTube pays creators 55% of long-form ad revenue, giving typical RPMs of $1–$5, with Shorts near $0.05–$0.10.

SRT Subtitle Formatter — Transcript to .SRT / .VTT

Paste a plain or time-stamped transcript and download a properly timed, line-wrapped .SRT or .VTT subtitle file — entirely in your browser.

An SRT file is a numbered list of cues, each with a start and end time in hh:mm:ss,mmm --> hh:mm:ss,mmm format followed by one or two lines of text of up to about 42 characters. Captions should stay on screen at least 1 second and are timed at roughly 160 words per minute when no time stamps exist.

Word Counter — Words, Characters, Reading Time & Keyword Density

Count words, characters (with and without spaces), sentences and paragraphs, and get reading time, speaking time and the top keywords — live as you type, nothing uploaded.

A word is any run of letters or digits, so contractions and hyphenated terms count once. Reading time is words ÷ 200 per minute; speaking time words ÷ 130. For SEO, a focus keyword at 0.5–1.5% density is typical; above 3% reads as keyword stuffing.

Case Converter & Text Cleaner

Change text to upper, lower, title, sentence, camel or snake case, and clean up extra spaces, blank lines and line breaks — instantly, in your browser.

Sentence case capitalises the first letter of each sentence and the pronoun I; Title Case capitalises every word except short joining words (a, and, of, the) in the middle; camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case and kebab-case are for code and file names; a url-slug is lowercase ASCII with hyphens.

Add Watermark to Photos — Text or Logo, Batch

Stamp a text or logo watermark on up to 30 photos at once — corner, centre or tiled, with opacity, size and rotation — to protect product shots and designs before posting. Processed on your device.

A tiled, semi-transparent (25–40%), rotated text watermark is the hardest to remove and keeps your brand on every copy of a product or listing photo; a single corner logo is cropped out in seconds. Logo watermarks work best as transparent PNGs at 15–25% of the image width.

Blur Part of an Image — Faces, Plates, Text

Paint over faces, number plates, phone numbers or any area with a blur or pixelate brush before sharing a screenshot or photo — processed in your browser.

To hide faces, number plates, ID numbers or text in a screenshot, pixelate or black-box the area rather than lightly blurring it — strong pixelation of short text is practically irreversible and a solid box is mathematically irreversible, while light blur can sometimes be reversed.

Social Media Image Resizer — All Platform Sizes

Turn one image into every size you need — Instagram post, story and profile, Facebook cover, YouTube thumbnail and banner, LinkedIn, X header, TikTok — cropped smartly, on your device.

2026 recommended image sizes: Instagram 1080 × 1080 (1:1) or 1080 × 1350 (4:5) posts and 1080 × 1920 stories; Facebook 1200 × 630 posts and 820 × 312 cover; YouTube 1280 × 720 thumbnails and 2560 × 1440 banners; LinkedIn 1200 × 627 posts and 1584 × 396 cover; X 1600 × 900 posts and 1500 × 500 header; TikTok 1080 × 1920.

Instagram Caption Line Break & Spacing Tool

Write your caption with real paragraph breaks that Instagram, TikTok and Facebook keep, hide hashtags below the fold, and check the character and hashtag limits — then copy.

Instagram deletes a line break when the line before it ends with a space or an emoji followed by a space, and collapses more than two blank lines; stripping trailing spaces and using an invisible braille blank (⠀) on empty lines keeps the spacing. Limits: 2,200 characters and 30 hashtags, with about 125 characters visible before '…more'.

YouTube Thumbnail Previewer — Test Before You Publish

Upload a thumbnail and title and see exactly how they look in YouTube search results, the home feed, the sidebar and on a phone — with the duration badge and title truncation.

A YouTube thumbnail should be 1280 × 720 (16:9) under 2 MB and must stay readable at the 168-px sidebar size where most clicks happen — large face, three words maximum, high contrast, bottom-right corner clear for the duration badge; titles can be 100 characters but about 60 show on mobile.

Add Text to Image / Meme Maker

Put a caption, quote or meme text on any image — top and bottom text, font, size, colour and outline — including Urdu and Arabic — and download it, all on your device.

Classic meme text is bold Impact in white with a black outline at roughly 10% of the image height, top and bottom, in capitals; for quote cards use a clean font at 6–8% with a translucent bar behind it. Urdu and Arabic text should be drawn right-to-left with a Nastaliq or Naskh font.

Engagement Rate Calculator — Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X

Calculate engagement rate by followers or by reach from likes, comments, shares and saves, and compare it with typical benchmarks for your platform and account size.

Engagement rate = (likes + comments + shares + saves) ÷ followers × 100, averaged over recent posts; dividing by reach instead measures how content performs with those who saw it. Typical 2026 averages fall with size — Instagram about 3.5% under 10K followers, 2% at 10K–100K and 1% above 1M; TikTok roughly double those.

HTML Email Signature Generator

Build a clean, professional HTML email signature with your name, title, phone, website and social links, then paste it into Gmail, Outlook or Apple Mail — nothing uploaded.

An email signature that renders the same in Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail is a simple HTML table with inline styles, system fonts, text links and at most one image hosted on a public https URL — no external CSS, no local images, about four lines long.

Free Invoice Generator — PDF, Any Currency

Fill in your details, line items, tax and discount, and download a clean PDF invoice in any currency — no account, nothing stored.

A valid invoice shows the seller's and buyer's names and addresses, a unique number, the date, a description with quantities and unit prices, the total and payment terms; add tax registration numbers (NTN/STRN in Pakistan, TRN in the UAE, VAT number in the UK) and show tax separately where registered.

DOI to BibTeX Converter

Convert a DOI or citation to BibTeX in one click: paste a DOI or doi.org link and get a clean BibTeX entry from Crossref/DataCite for LaTeX, Overleaf, Zotero and Mendeley.

Any DOI can be turned into BibTeX by requesting https://doi.org/<DOI> with the header Accept: application/x-bibtex; Crossref or DataCite returns the publisher's metadata as an @article or @book entry, which then only needs a readable citation key.

WCAG Colour Contrast Checker

Free WCAG colour contrast checker: paste two HEX colours to get the contrast ratio, AA/AAA pass-fail for normal and large text, a live preview and the nearest passing colour.

WCAG 2.2 requires a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text (24 px, or 18.66 px bold) at Level AA, and 7:1 / 4.5:1 at Level AAA; UI component borders and icons need 3:1. The ratio is (L1 + 0.05) ÷ (L2 + 0.05) using relative luminance.

Strong Password & Passphrase Generator

Generate random passwords or memorable passphrases in your browser using the Web Crypto API, with an entropy score and estimated time to crack — nothing is sent anywhere.

Password strength is entropy in bits: length × log₂(pool size). A 16-character password from letters, digits and symbols has about 103 bits; a 12-character one about 77 bits; a 6-word passphrase from a 536-word list about 61 bits. Anything above 80 bits is out of reach of offline attacks at 10 billion guesses per second.

Favicon Generator & Image to Base64 Converter

Turn any image into a favicon.ico plus 16, 32, 180, 192 and 512 px PNGs with the HTML tags to paste, or convert it to a Base64 data URI for CSS and HTML — processed on your device.

A complete favicon set is a multi-size favicon.ico (16, 32, 48 px) in the site root, 32 and 16 px PNGs, a 180 px apple-touch-icon.png, and 192 and 512 px PNGs referenced from site.webmanifest. Google requires a square icon that is a multiple of 48 px. Base64 data URIs are 33% larger than the file and only worth inlining below about 5 KB.

Colour Palette Extractor — Get Colours from an Image

Pull the dominant colours from a photo, logo or screenshot as HEX and RGB codes with CSS variables ready to copy — for brand kits and designs, processed on your device.

Dominant colours are extracted by downscaling the image and clustering its pixels (k-means) into the requested number of groups; each cluster centre becomes a swatch, ordered by pixel share. Near-white backgrounds are ignored so logos return brand colours, and each colour's contrast on white shows whether it is safe for text (4.5:1).

Aspect Ratio & Resolution Calculator

Work out the missing width or height to keep an image or video in proportion, identify a ratio from pixel dimensions, and look up standard resolutions for every platform.

Aspect ratio is width ÷ height; to resize without distortion, new height = new width × (original height ÷ original width). Standard ratios: 16:9 for video (1920 × 1080), 9:16 for Reels and Shorts (1080 × 1920), 4:3 (1024 × 768), 3:2 for DSLR photos, 1:1 for Instagram (1080 × 1080), 4:5 for Instagram portrait and 1:√2 for A4 paper.
